Val and Robbies Engagement Book

Val and Robbie asked me to design a memory book for their engagement shoot. Here is the first draft.

Thanks again to Val and Robbie for letting me document the day for them.

Val and Robbie

My first engagement shoot was a huge success. Both Val an Robbie were up for anything and I was glad to capture the evening.

Robbie is an old bike riding buddy who has finally found his match. Val is a great girl who is going to make a stunning bride. I can't wait to shoot the wedding.

Here are my favorites from the shoot. You can view the rest here.

A Few More Bridals

Jennifer is at it again.... and this time she brought her cousin Kati. We didn't have cooperative weather so we only shot a few. They both did a tremendous job though. Thanks to both of them. These are a few of my favorites. You can see the rest of Jennifer's here. And Kati's here.

A Little Macro Shoot

I took the macro lens out for a few shots. This is one fun lens. A fire hydrant, one of my guitars, a couple of lenses and a camera body.

Fine Art Gallery

There is a new gallery up for my fine art photography. I have added quite a few pics to it. You may recognize some of them if you have been keeping up with my blog posts. A few from a trip to Seattle and a couple more of the Paulsen house shoot. Some were even added by request (Thanks Chad!!). Here are a couple of the new additions. You can link to the gallery showcase here.

Jason C. Davies

You may remember Jason from a post last fall. He is a motivational speaker who gives his presentations to schools and businesses in the Spokane area.

He was looking for a headshot to put on a brochure that he hands out and this is what we came up with. He and I both liked the idea of doing something outside with water in the background.

It may take a while to get used to delivering one picture but it was fun all the same. It was nice spending more time behind the camera than in front of the computer screen.

Thanks Jason!!

Photography 101

Here we go. Another installment of my self-portrait series. I had planned on posting this one a bit sooner but haven't had time.

The first two pics were taken while goofing around on the same evening I took the portrait for my bio-page on my website. You should check that pic out if you haven't. The others were taken at various times over the past few weeks. I had to include a pic of my trusty sidekick (the 5d) and am trying to come up with a few ideas that are a bit more creative to showcase the photographic side of my life.

My favorite is the one of the biking shoe. The mountain biking pics will be the hardest pics to take, but I think I'll be able to come up with some worthwhile images. Comments are always welcome.

Indira's Five Minute Portrait Session

Well.... the weather didn't quite cooperate enough for the outdoor portrait session Saturday night. I guess it will have to wait a week. We decided to head across the street and take a few pics under an overhang near an interesting wall. Here are a few of my favorites. You can view the rest here.

Nic

Nic Rojas has been a guitar student of mine for quite some time. His family is moving down to sunny California in a couple of weeks, so I decided to snap a few shots at his second to last lesson.

He has turned into quite the talented guitar player. He has even started learning his first Dream Theater song. :-D He will be missed and I hope that he continues playing. Good luck Nic.

Here are a few of the pics. You can view the rest here.

Jennifer Part Two

Here she is again. Model Extraordinaire. This time she endured much more than a three a.m. wake up call. Not only did she put up with countless questions, comments and the random cheer from the crowd, but ran through the fountain with a smile. Another huge thanks goes out to Jennifer. Keep an eye out for part three coming soon.

Here are a few of my favorites. You can view the rest here.

Soccer Portraits

Layne asked me to do a few soccer portraits for her. You may recognize her from her twelfth birthday party at the Davenport Hotel. She is a great kid and (sometimes) a talented guitar player too. Here are as few pics from the evening. You can see the rest here.
