Congratulations, Penny!

Penny Cannon, one of the Hot Shots' biggest fans, had her first gallery showing tonight at the Met Theater. Penny has been a very talented artist for many years. She enjoys painting in acrylic, tempera, water color and mixed media. There were many examples of her fine art displayed for all to see. Originals, prints, greeting cards and even notebooks are available. It was an extremely successful debut, even scoring an interview with News Four's John Langeler, which can be viewed tonight on KXLY's eleven o'clock news program.

If you are interested in viewing or purchasing her work, please contact Stephanie Boyle at (509)535-4606. Or you can email Penny directly at pennycannon@hotmail.com.

Here are a few pics of the event. If you would like to see the rest click here.

Layne's Twelfth Birthday!

Layne's twelfth birthday party was held at the Davenport Hotel on Sept. 8th. The girls had a blast. It couldn't have been a nicer setting. Very glamorous.... You can check out the rest of the pics here.

Catalina's Senior Portraits.

I shot some senior pics for Catalin Rojas last week. Manito Park was a great setting for the shoot. It was the best time of the evening with perfect light. It was a lot of fun and hope to do many more senior portraits.

Art auction.

I have donated another fine art piece to the art auction for St. John's Cathedral. It is the picture of the exterior of Paulsen house at dawn. Here are a couple of shots of theinterior of the house I was able to get when Gloria Waggoner invited me to photograph inside this amazing home.

The Oregon coast.....sort of.

Photographically speaking, the trip to Oregon was a bust. The weather was less than cooperative and the tide was equally difficult. It was very gray from the time we got there until the time we left. We did, however, find out what it was like to camp just feet away from a highway. Not as bad as one might think;-) A little advice to those traveling there during the next holiday weekend....make reservations.

It was a much needed break though. A big thanks to Bill for making time for the trip and for driving the entire way. I'll look forward to our next trip. Maybe his grandpa will make some time to take us for a plane ride.

Here is the closest I came to a good picture.

Labor Day

Well, here it is. The last weekend of summer. I hope everyone has at least a little bit of fun planned for the long weekend. I am heading down the Oregon coast with my good friend Bill. We are planning on shooting some fine art prints. It will be nice to get away without any sort of schedule to adhere to.

The last of the wedding pics are up in my galleries. You can take a look at them here.
Here are a few of my favorites.
