Jennifer

Jennifer, a co-worker and friend, agreed to model for some bridals last Saturday. Not only did she look amazing but she arrived at my house, ready to go, at 4:30 a.m.!! I can't thank her enough for being the guinea pig for a set of bridal portraits. Stay tuned for part two....

Here are a few of my favorites. You can see the rest here.

Luyen and Jeff

Luyen and Jeff's pics are finally up. Bridge was being a bit difficult so they aren't in order. I had a blast shooting the wedding and hope that they are happy with the results. You can view the gallery here. Here are a few of my favorites.

Luyen and Jeff

I have done quite a bit of photography for friends over the past couple of years, but until last weekend, I hadn't shot a friend's wedding.

Jeff and I have played basketball together (against each other most of the time) for the past four years. We play recreationally on Tuesday nights and I roped him into volunteering on the Hot Shots two seasons ago.

He had the good fortune of Luyen accepting his marriage proposal. They exchanged vows last weekend and I was there to capture the day from start to finish. It was a beautiful ceremony in a gorgeous venue. The Chapel on the third floor of Gonzaga University's administration building is a perfect place for the picture book wedding.

Here is the link for the album showcase. The gallery will be up later this week.

Happy Mother's Day

As we come to the end of another Mother's Day, I hope all of us have done a little something to show the moms around the world how important and appreciated they are. Hats off to my mom Debbie, my Aunt Peggy, my Grandma Ryan, my Grandma Mac and my step mom Patci.

I would also like to wish a very happy Mother's Day to Courtney McGarry. Based on all of the positive feedback, I will assume that everyone will remember Kelvin's portraits. This is her first Mother's Day and her husband Brady asked me to design a memory book for her. You can see it here. I hope she enjoys it as much as I did designing it.

Logan Magazine!

Logan Magazine's latest issue is in the stores. I am thrilled to say that two of my photographs were used for the lead story about, Vin Rouge owner, Carrie Davis. You'll have to pick up the magazine if you want to read the story and see the pics though. I promise you won't be disappointed. It really is a great publication.

Thanks to Logan and Laurie for the opportunity to be a part of this great project.

New Cards

I have finally settled on a business card design. In the past, most of my cards have featured only one of my photographs. I thought I would try to design something a bit classier and photo-business oriented. Here is the final design.

A big thanks, yet again, to Ty Wooley for the logo design. The only instruction I gave him was "classy" and he came up with two great designs. I will have to find a way to work in the second.

Business Phone

Yes, it's true. I have finally (as my friend Bill has said) entered the twenty first century and gotten a cell phone. It is a business only phone so if you need to talk photos, feel free to give me a call at my new number... (509)230-4035

I decided to try my hand at a bit of product photography with this one.

Thane and Em

Shawnia's brother, sister in law, niece and nephew came into town this past weekend. We had a blast taking them to Silverwood and hanging out with them. The kids were a little intimidated by the roller coasters but were crazy when it came to the trampoline. They were both flipping and flying all over the place. I couldn't resist setting up one of my studio lights and clicking a few pics. These are some of the results.

Thanks to Scott, Chris, Thane and Em for making the trip over. I am looking forward to their next visit.

Miranda

I had another challenge this past weekend.... I had planned on shooting some portraits of Miranda (quite the cutie) in the Rose Gardens at Manito Park. Well, when I arrived, there were several hundred people attending a wedding in the very same spot we had planned on using. After a quick call to Miranda's mom, we met up at Canon Hill Park and I am glad we did. The portraits that I took of her really showcase her personality. These are some pics you should definitely take a look through. The later it got the cuter she was.

Thanks to Miranda and her mom for hanging out so long and letting me try out some one light techniques.

One Hour Wedding

Yep... you read that right. Sixty minutes to shoot the smallest quickest wedding I have ever been a part of. The only Vegas wedding I have been to lasted ninety minutes. To say that it was a challenge would be an understatement. I am glad to have had the opportunity to do the work though. Challenge is always a good thing. I was able to design a 22 spread album that you can view here. The gallery of the wedding pics is here.

It was a beautiful ceremony and my congratulations go out to Mikiko and Michael.
