How fine is this art?

A couple of weeks ago, Shawnia asked if I would be willing to donate a fine art print for an auction that her church was holding. I was happy to donate two. I have donated several prints to various charities over the past three years and have only had one sell for more than the price that I charge for them. Well, I am happy to say that the photo below sold for a whopping $750!!

It turns out that this photo was taken after some renovations were done at the church, but before a fire that destroyed a portion of the church.

One of the custodians at Roosevelt asked me to take a pretty traditional shot of Our Lady of Lourdes, which is the church that she attends. When I left the house, the color of the light had me racing through downtown Spokane at ridiculous speeds. This is one of the shots I came away with. You can see the other in my fine art gallery.

A huge thank you goes out to the person who purchased the photo.

Each of my fine art prints are sold in limited quantities that are numbered, signed and dated. The large prints (12"x18") are $150 while the small (8"x12") are $120.

Kelvin Theodore McGarry

I shot my first infant portraits last weekend. Brady (who I play basketball with) and Courtney are a great couple with a very happy boy. I hope to take many more pics of Kelvin as he grows. You can see the rest here, and view the slide show here.

Shawnia

For those who have been inquiring (and those who haven't) I would like to introduce my girlfriend Shawnia. She is a beautiful and wicked smart girl, originally from Northern California, who has been making me laugh hysterically for a while now. If you haven't met her, you will soon.

St. Patrick's Day Parade

I shot a few pics at the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Spokane Saturday. It was a bit of craziness that I haven't experienced since I was a kid. You can view the gallery here. Shawnia gets the credit for the working shot of me (Thanks!).
