Borrego Springs at Night

When I was down in Southern California, I took a quick trip down to Borrego Springs to visit my grandparents. This was the scene from their back door. I couldn't resist the urge to attempt a few fine art shots. The first is a twenty minute exposure with some help from my cousin Sarah Jane painting the background tree in with a flashlight. The second is a twelve minute exposure backlit by a pickup truck as it pulled into it's parking space. Notice the length of the star trails in the sky.

It was a beautiful desert locale and I hope to visit again soon.

McKensie

Here are the last of the senior portraits for this year. McKensie was the first all indoor shoot I have done in quite a while. She was very relaxed and easy to work with. It was a pleasure to shoot the pics for her. Here are a few of my favorites. You can view the rest here.

Costa Mesa.

I drove my mom down to Southern California for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was a much shorter stay than I am used to but it was great all the same. I was able to go to my Aunt Peggy's birthday party and take a surprise trip down to Borrego Springs to visit my grandparents. Here are a few of the pics. Thanks to everyone who, surprisingly, kept our arrival a complete surprise for my aunt.
