Mostly Merlot

Mostly Merlot is an annual benefit held by Cancer Patient Care. They are dedicated to provide social service support for cancer patients and their families in our region who have limited financial resources. There are too many of us who are well aware of the financial and emotional burdens that cancer bears on anyone with the illness. Cancer Patient Care supports their clients by providing equal access to healthcare and emotional support among many other services. They are a vital resource to those in need. The best chefs in the region along with some of the finest wineries in Washington State join together to prepare a night of amazing food and various wines. A six course meal accompanied by an equal number of wines was served to a full house. A silent auction, with donations from local businesses, was open throughout the evening and the evening ended with a live auction and raffle. I was amazed at the level of support from everyone who attended and hope that the event is just as successful for many years to come.

I want to thank Executive Director Cliff Evans and Development Director Rebecca Bishop for enlisting my services for the evening. I also look forward to working with them again in June for the Loreen Miller Bike Ride.
